It's January 20th, a history making day as our 44th president is inaugurated and snow dusts the Port City. School is out today, and there is excitement in the air when flakes fall in the Wilmington area, a rare event. Here's a few pictures to enjoy. Well, if you really like it, I can spare some extra! Where would you like it shipped? LOL
AS for your new President - after reading his book "The Audacity of Hope", on behalf of my little piece of the Free World - thanks for electing a man of vision and integrity!
Wasn't it nice to have a snow day today? I remember as a child at Ogden Elementary in Wilmington, NC the teachers would let us go outside at the first drop of a flake because snow was so rare. That excitement holds over for me today. I had phone duty but gave it up to stay home and watch the snow. The agent that took my duty time poopahed our little Wilmington blast of snow because she had seen enough of it in her lifetime. So Rick, come on down. We have snow today and sun tomorrow. By the weekend we will be back up to 60's and in sweaters. Nothing could be finer than to live in Wilmington, North Carolina.
The snow day was awesome. I just love watching it fall. And best of all, it's gone within a day and warmer temps are on the way. Yes, it is great to live in Wilmington, North Carolina. Great to hear from you too.
