Decorators seem to be using more mirrors to add style and substance to a decor. Many home owners are faced with cleaning their mirrors, and have lots of choices. To insure long-time performance, mirrors must be properly cared for.
Did you know that the safest cleaner for a mirror is warm water used with a soft, lint-free cloth. Wring all the water from the cloth before wiping the mirror, then dry immediately.
The most important thing to remember is to avoid getting the edges of the mirror wet with any liquid or substance. This can result in damage to the mirror edges ("black edge").
Alkali cleaners, or cleaners with ammonia or vinegar can damage the mirror.
