1.7M Invested in Landfall Facilities

Landfall's Drysdale Sports Center members have a freshly remodeled complex to enjoy.  The renovations include upgrades to the sports center's central reception area, and covering and air conditioning many of the spaces that used to be breezeways.  The covered awnings and expanded patio at Drysdale's pool area, make this area attractive for family fun, with an enhanced cafe area around the pool.  There are new lounges with couches, televisions, and large windows for views across the complex, targeting various age groups.  The locker rooms have been upgraded as well.  The Sports Center Cafe provides Wi-Fi Internet access, and has expanded its menu.

This project was completed in April 2008.  The renovations at the Drysdale Sports Center are part of a larger $8 million upgrade across many of Landfall's facilities.  Look for an expanded members' tavern, two single-sex 19th hole lounges, a new boardroom, and a new kitchen at the Landfall Clubhouse.

I Love the Port City - How About You?

Have you seen the bumper sticker that boasts "Wilmington Has It All"? I love the fact that you can enjoy three different water venues all in one day, right here in Coastal Southeastern North Carolina.  From boating on the Intracoastal, a picnic on the beach, to dinner on the Cape Fear River, most will agree, Wilmington, NC has much to offer residents and visitors alike.

As Summer approaches, It is refreshing to see folks out enjoying cycling, walking, strolling with their children, dogs out with their owners, joggers, and boaters.

The tourists get to enjoy the sunshine and warm breezes of Wilmington and surrounding beaches, while treasuring days with family.  Let's not forget about the stunning evening sunsets.

Cleaning and Caring for Your Mirrors

Decorators seem to be using more mirrors to add style and substance to a decor.  Many home owners are faced with cleaning their mirrors, and have lots of choices.  To insure long-time performance, mirrors must be properly cared for.

Did you know that the safest cleaner for a mirror is warm water used with a soft, lint-free cloth.  Wring all the water from the cloth before wiping the mirror, then dry immediately.

The most important thing to remember is to avoid getting the edges of the mirror wet with any liquid or substance.  This can result in damage to the mirror edges ("black edge").

Alkali cleaners, or cleaners with ammonia or vinegar can damage the mirror.

Summertime in Wilmington, NC

The Summer months are favorites here in Wilmington.  The weather is perfect, school is ending for the summer, and you can feel the excitement.  It is time to discover all Wilmington has to offer.  Fabulous beaches, waterways and the Cape Fear River, each with a spectacular sunrise and sunset. The most perfect blue-green water for swimming and boating.  Carriage rides, trolley rides, tours by boat, parasailing, fishing, and surfing are some of the Summertime fun we experience in coastal North Carolina.

The real estate market has picked up and the interest rates are still great. If you have thought about selling or buying a home, please give us a call.   If you have yet to discover all Wilmington has to offer, it's a great time to visit.
